Our Founder
Michael S. Markovitz is an alumnus of Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a degree in Telecommunications. Michael has many years experience working with different companies in the telecommunications industry. Through the years he has established himself as one of the industry’s leading experts in telecommunications.
Not one to rest on his laurels, the founder of Northeast Data continues to hone his expertise by ensuring that he stays up-to-date with the most advanced technological improvements in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Markovitz insists that he not only continue to develop his expertise but his staff continue to develop professionally as well. This is the result of his desire to ensure that the clients of Northeast Data receive only the best professional services available. By offering clients and employees of Northeast Data a combination of cutting edge technology, expert problem solving techniques and an understanding of all data networking needs, Michael has helped to make Northeast Data one of the leading companies in the IT & telecommunications industries.
When not working at providing Northeast Data’s clients with top notch services Mr. Markovitz is actively involved with his community. A volunteer with the Tunkhannock Community Ambulance Association, Mr. Markovitz gives his free time to help ensure the community in which he lives remains safe and its residents healthy. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors, holds the position of First Assistant Chief and is a diver and Captain with the Dive Rescue Team.
Having a drive to help make the community in which he lives as well as his dedication to selfless service are values that Michael incorporates not only into his personal life but his business life as well.
